Blogroll Update

with 4 comments

I’ve been finding many great new blogs while procrastinating and not doing any real work (or I could just say that I am doing research, right?). I’d like to add a few to the blogroll so everyone can benefit from these wonderful writers and their experiences in freelance writing, working from home, and earning a living.

Avid Writer is a great blog that I found by reading Lori Widmer’s Words on the Page. Her posts are very engaging and she covers many of the topics I am interested in, such as writing e-books and incorporating your writing business.

Writer’s Brew is a look at many topics of interest to writers such as catching content thieves, finding a niche, and creating and maintaining a writing portfolio. The great thing about these topics is that, as writers, we sometimes focus too much on the process of writing and forget to take into account activities such as marketing, finding a niche, and protecting our work. This site reminds us that those things are just as important as completing your actual writing work.

Writing for Your Wealth is a great look at how to make money from your writing, especially if you want to produce your own e-books and other information products. Every writer should be working on their own products in addition to their client work. The more streams of income you have going, the less panic you’ll experience if you lose a client to the bad economy.

Telecommuting Diva is a fun, yet practical look at working from home and some of the issues we experience. Topics covered include goal setting, determining if a project is worth your time, and other topics that are great for every telecommuter, not just freelance writers.

Want to be included in my blogroll? Leave me a comment and, if your blog is on freelance writing, working from home, or other topics of interest to freelancers, I’d be happy to add you.

  1. Thank you for the mention!

I love “Words of Mouse” for a name. 🙂 Your Working in Bed division sounds like a very worthwhile project too.

    Happy writing!

  2. Welcome, Lindsay! I am looking forward to reading all of your posts and signing up for your e-course. Thanks for the compliment on my title, and your encouragement for Working in Bed. It’s still in the idea stage, but it will serve a unique group of people when I launch.
